Terms and Conditions

By placing an order with us either by email, online or verbally, it will be deemed that our terms and conditions of hire have been read, understood, and fully accepted by the customer.

It is the responsibility of you the hirer to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury to users or damage to the equipment, which includes all items supplied by Lambo’s Bouncy Castle Hire. If the Hirer is in any doubt as to the meaning of the following, a representative from Lambo’s Bouncy Castle Hire should immediately be consulted.

PLEASE READ the following safety instructions and ensure that they are followed:

1) The customer will be responsible for the supervision of the equipment, its care and safety from any type of damage, and the behaviour for all persons of all ages using the equipment whatever their capacity.

2) Any soft play and/or other equipment hired must also be supervised by a responsible adult.

3) The outdoor hired inflatable(s) must be secured to the ground at all times. Indoor hire must be attached to sandbags at all times.

4) No food or drinks are to be consumed on the inflatable (to avoid choking and mess).

If the unit is returned in an unsatisfactory condition, a cleaning charge of £50.00 will be issued by invoice.

5) The customer must make sure all shoes, badges and jewellery (e.g. large earrings, necklaces, etc.) must be removed to avoid damage to the equipment and injury to other users. It is recommended that spectacles and plastic Alice bands are also removed. Adults must remove high-heeled shoes before stepping on mats.

6) The customer must ensure that the equipment is not overcrowded and limit the numbers depending on the age and size of children using it according to the recommendations printed on the equipment (on or near the front step of most inflatables).

7) Do not allow children to take any hard or sharp objects onto the equipment, or anything large enough to block exits/entrances.

8) Do not allow children to take balloons onto the equipment (burst balloons and strings can be a choking hazard).

9) No party-poppers, henna, face paint, coloured streamers or “silly string” can be used near or on the equipment, as they can permanently stain.

10) No water or other liquid to be poured or sprayed onto the equipment (other than a reasonable amount for cleaning purposes) as it causes the surface of inflatables to become slippery, damages soft play, and can result in subsequent bookings being cancelled if the equipment is too wet to be delivered. If equipment is deliberately soaked, you will be charged double your hire fee to cover our costs in subsequent cancelled bookings and drying time.

11) It is against Health and Safety Regulations to use inflatables when wind speeds, including gusts are over 24mph. Lambo’s Bouncy Castle Hire will not set up their equipment in these conditions. Wind speeds change continuously throughout the day and so it is the responsibility of the person hiring the inflatable to ensure it is not used if wind speeds do go over 24mph.

12) No smoking, barbecues, glass, or pets on or near the equipment.

13) Reckless or boisterous behaviour must not be allowed.

14) Avoid older children and smaller children from using the equipment at the same time.

15) Climbing, hanging, or sitting on the walls is dangerous and must not be allowed.

16) Children must use slides one at a time and must not climb on the sides of the slide.

17) Slides should be used in a sitting position, feet first – do not allow jumping from the top of the slide.

18) Safety mats must be positioned at the bottom of the unit.

19) Ensure that mats supplied with the equipment remain where they were positioned during installation.

20) Do not allow anyone to bounce on the step/front apron of the inflatable(s). The step is there to help users get on and off.

21) No-one with a history of back or neck problems or pregnant women should be allowed on the inflatable(s).

22) Do not allow users on the inflatable(s) during inflation or deflation.

23) If the inflatable(s) are not being used for any part of the day, please switch the blower(s) off at the mains.

24) In the event of rain please remove children from the inflatable(s) and place a table or similar object over the blower(s) to prevent water from being blown inside the inflatable(s). Do not switch the blower(s) off. Once the rain has stopped, please ensure that the entrance and exit to the inflatable(s) are dried with a towel before children are allowed back on as they become slippery when wet.

25) Ensure that the vent on the side of the blower is kept clear at all times.

26) Should a blower overheat or lose power, immediately remove children from the inflatable and switch the blower off at the mains. It should restart when switched back on again 1 or 2 minutes later. If it does not, please inform us on the telephone number provided.

27) Lambo’s Bouncy Castle Hire must be advised as soon as possible in the event of any injury requiring professional medical treatment. Treatment must be sought within 2 hours of the injury occurring and a detailed record of the incident and treatment must be provided to Lambo’s Bouncy Castle Hire.

28) On Adult equipment, adults and children cannot use the equipment at the same time. Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs (prescription or otherwise) must not use the equipment.

29) If you are unsure about anything, please contact us on the telephone number above.

30) I am happy with the T&C’s, and I take full responsibility for the safety and use of the equipment, and I agree to any additional charge I may incur.

31) This equipment is set up by fully trained and responsible staff and must not be moved under any circumstances without the knowledge of Lambo’s Bouncy Castle Hire. If The equipment is moved, your insurance may be invalidated, and Lambo’s Bouncy Castle Hire will not be responsible for any loss or injury.

32) Children must not attempt somersaults, and they should be appropriately dressed. They can’t let anything out of their pockets. Make sure that the area around the unit is 6 feet (2 m) clear of any obstructions or hazards.

33) All bookings are subject to a non-refundable 20% booking fee at the time of booking.

34) We reserve the right to make changes to advertised prices without notification.

35) If an event occurs beyond our control, such as traffic, vehicle failure or adverse weather conditions, and subsequently prevents us from fulfilling our obligations, you will be notified at our earliest possibility. A refund of any monies paid in relation to the hire fee or part payment for delayed start (a minimum of one hour after our expected arrival time), excluding delivery fees, will be returned to the hirer. No further compensation will be due or paid irrespective of loss of earnings or expenses incurred.

36) The hire period is as agreed at time of order. If there is any obstruction by the customer or unnecessary excessive delay caused at time of delivery or collection, there will be charge of £30 per hour or part of.

37) It is the responsibility of the customer to inform us at the time of booking the location of the equipment set up, the access to the location and the requested delivery/collection times. This must be done for online bookings using the drop down boxes and writing in the Any Additional Info section, put in writing in an email booking all the requested information and explained clearly over a verbal booking.

38) Our delivery and collection times are approximate and cannot be guaranteed due to external factors beyond the Company’s control.

39) Any remaining balance due is to be paid in full and cleared 14 days prior to the event hire date. This does not apply to customer with account facilities. On specific occasions, we reserve the right to request full payment.

40) If at any time a refund of any amount is due to the customer, this will be made within 14 working days. Please note that the specific refund time will depend on the customers card issuing bank.

41) The customer should inspect the equipment and agree that it has been supplied in good condition. If any faults are found, then the customer must advise the company representative before they leave the premises.

42) We reserve the right to substitute hired equipment to a similar style and value without notice in the event of damage from a previous booking.

43) All equipment sizes are approximate.

44) All goods and equipment will remain the property of the company at all times.

45) We reserve the right to take photographs of our equipment at the hire venue and use them for social media, marketing and promotional purposes.

46) In the event of equipment fault or failure causing us to not fulfil our obligation to the customer, a pro-rata refund of any hire fee monies paid will be returned. This refund applies to the specific item at fault and not the entire hire package including delivery fee. No further compensation will be will due or paid irrespective of loss of earnings or expenses incurred.

46) The location of equipment set up will need to be within 50 metres of a power supply. It is the responsibility of the customer to have this confirmed prior to arrival. Please contact us to discuss options if not possible.

47) We reserve the right to refuse delivery if we deem the location site to be unsuitable, including sloped and/or uneven ground, or if the customer has not notified us of any delivery or set up obstructions, including fixed ornaments, tree stumps and garden furniture. In this situation, no refund will be given, and any outstanding balance will be due for payment within 7 days.

48) It is the customers responsibility to ensure that there is sufficient space for all products hired to fit in the required set up location. If on arrival, the site or venue is deemed unsuitable by our representatives, delivery and set up will be refused. No refund will be given, and any outstanding balance will be due for payment by the customer within 7 days.

49) We reserve the right to refuse delivery and set up of your hired equipment if there is any type of pet/animal excrement in or near the area where equipment will be carried through and located.

50) In the event our representatives feel that the customer and/or their guests are at risk of endangering safety through behaviour, or causing damage to the equipment, operation will cease immediately, and all equipment will be removed. No refund will be given, and any outstanding balance will be due for payment by the customer within 7 days.

51) In the event of an outdoor set up for any type of equipment hired, whether booked through our online booking system or by email or phone, the customer MUST inform Lambo’s Bouncy Castle Hire prior to delivery, of what the outdoor surface type is. If on arrival, we have not been correctly informed of the surface type and it is not as expected or planned for, delivery and set up may be refused. No refund will be due to the customer and any outstanding balance will be due for payment within 7 days.

52) Our company accepts no liability for any damage to or loss of personal property and/or any injury arising from the use of hired equipment.

53) Any liability will be excluded for a claim or injury received whether directly or indirectly related to the use of drugs and/or alcohol.

54) All entertainment delivered to the site will be inspected and will be signed for by someone from the erection team and by the customer, venue, client or representative to ensure they are completely happy with delivery and that the goods were received in good working order & fit for purpose.

Please be aware that if the person who booked the entertainment is not available to sign for the goods and no alternative representative appointed at the time of booking, we will not be able to leave the equipment and must leave promptly to attend any other bookings we may have unless a representative comes forward to sign our documentation. We also reserve the right to appoint a representative on your behalf if required.

Once this has been signed at the start of the event, nothing further can be considered. This document is also a liability wavier and MUST BE SIGNED prior to the event start time.

Any delays associated with any documents will come from the hire period and may be chargeable. Should this cause a delay, no reimbursement will be given in terms of money, time or another commodity. In addition to the above, the on-site disclaimer/ wavier can be viewed in advance if required on request if you, your guests or your organisation has any concerns.

55) The client is responsible for ensuring that suitable security and crowd control measures are in place prior to the start of the event. This includes the safe provision of Generator fencing and hoarding etc. we provide the entertainment only unless our services as supervisors/ event managers are provided. It will be presumed that you are aware of the HSE requirements and as such we will not accept any liability for loss or damage. The client is also fully responsible for any damages to personal or physical goods or property located within the installation area. This includes but is not limited to damages arising as a result of power or equipment failure.

It is also worth noting that all generators left without a member of our staff will require re-fuelling by yourselves and must not be hired unless you are a competent person with full training and understanding of how a generator works and runs. When fuelling please make you have adequate provision for this on site and are fully trained in doing so. DO NOT attempt to fill generators under any circumstances whilst switched on or without adequate 3rd party raining.

56) The client agrees to indemnify the company for any damage or theft of the company’s equipment whilst on hire. All responsibility is down to the client themselves, i.e. the person who hired the inflatable.

57) In the rare event that you are unhappy with your entertainment for whatever reason, there is no valid reason for holding our equipment to ransom. In the event that a customer does hold an item to ransom, we will have no option but to contact the police. Withholding equipment from is a criminal offence despite whether or not you are happy with our service.

58) Hot Weather: Where the weather is particularly hot during summer months and heat waves, for example, The fabric of castles and mats gets very, very hot in the sun. Make sure the children are wearing socks so as not to burn the soles of their feet. Have a shade erected or position the inflatable so the sun is not shining directly into the castle. Remember our erectors will not know your hot spots during the intended hire period so please let them know on delivery and they will be happy to help.

If the inflatable does get too hot, please ensure no one uses the inflatable to reduce the risk of burns to children’s skin. Please remember to use care and caution at all times in hot weather and call for guidance if required. Please do not let children use the inflatable if the weather is too hot.

59) Ensure the vent on the side of the blower is kept clear at all times.

Complaints:

In the event that you are unhappy with our services, please contact the office as soon as you can after delivery has been made, either by telephone or by email during the event or at the time of the problem. Problems are much more difficult to resolve after an event has passed especially when we haven't been given the opportunity to put things right on the day.

Please remember that on booking and hiring any of our equipment you are entering into a non-disclosure agreement and as such, any form of slander or discussion on the internet whilst a complaint is being dealt with in places such as goggle, Facebook or any other internet or social media sites is not allowed. Infringements may result in legal action or an invoice for deformation to the value of £500 per infringement.

In addition to the above, should you resort to social media, we will cease all communications.

Complaints raised must be done so in writing. Whilst we are happy to discuss this via telephone amicably, all official correspondence will be issued in writing to keep an accurate and true record for both parties.

All complaints are treated as an official complaint from day one and all complaints are dealt with swiftly and efficiently.

Cancellations

Any cancelled Booking is subject to our cancellation fees:

Prior to 8 weeks to event 25% of order value

Within 8 weeks of your event 35% of order value

Within 6 weeks of your event 50% of order value

Within 4 weeks of your event 75% of order value

Within 10 days of your event 100% of order value

  1. We cannot be held responsible if we are unable to complete delivery or set up the hired items, due to lack of access and/or required space or if the location is inappropriate. Your booking fee will not be refunded, and any outstanding balance not previously paid in full will be due.
  2. In the event of us having to cancel your booking due to adverse or severe weather, your 20% booking fee, and any balance if paid, will be fully refunded within 5-10 working days. The specific refund time will depend on your card issuing bank.
  3. We will not accept a cancellation by the customer due to weather conditions. If the customer chooses to cancel due to weather, this is a non-refundable cancellation, and any outstanding balance will be due withing 7 days.

Disclaimer

Please note that all persons using this equipment do so at their own risk. The person/organisation hiring the equipment will be responsible/liable for any damage or injury occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use. These guidelines are for the safety of all people using this equipment, and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are adhered to. Lambo’s Bouncy Castle Hire cannot accept any responsibility for any injury caused to anyone using this equipment.

I acknowledge receipt of the equipment in a good, clean condition and agree to abide by the terms and conditions listed above and return the equipment in the same condition it was received in. Please note if the Inflatable is collected in a dirty condition, then the person hiring it will incur a cleaning charge from £50.00 depending on unit hired.
